Kathak for Kids by Indrani Datta Dance is a bespoke Indian classical dance class based in 120 Cromer Street YMCA (off Judd Street) in historic and artistic Bloomsbury, London.
Sunday morning classes focus on storytelling, improvisation, technique and vocal training. Students learn memorisation and visualisation through various languages including Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali, French and English.
Throughout the year there are opportunities for the students to participate in classical Kathak recitals, workshops and commissioned and independent performances using traditional and modern formats.
